Just an absolutely beautiful last half of the episode. After that bitch of a sister triggered her PTSD, Miyo went back into her shell and regressed to her quiet detached self. How thoughtful of her fiancé to reach out to Hana like that. Hana was exactly who Miyo needed to hear from in that moment.

Kiyoka is such a kind and considerate person. Literally exactly what Miyo needs at this point in her life. He was able to deduce the abuse she suffered at the hands of her parents and constantly reassures Miyo at every opportunity. A real man.

😫the lengths that Kiyoka goes to assure Miyo are so precious, man. He’s obviously not trained as a psychologist, but he’s doing his absolute best to comfort and reassure an abuse victim and I respect that so much. A real man.

No matter what insecurities she has, he wants to let her know he accepts all of her, not just the good, but the bad too. It is a constant back and forth between good days and bad days. Miyo didn’t get like this overnight and she won’t break the cycle overnight.

I am sick and tired of seeing shit takes from people about how characters like Sawako (Kimi ni Todoke) and Miyo (My Happy Marriage) are "unfeminist" because they're shy and soft-spoken. When Miyo is literally that way as a SURVIVAL TACTIC because SHE WAS FUCKING ABUSED And Sawako is showed to have social anxiety and the other kids are shown to kind of bully her. But both girls gain confidence and strength as both series progress. NOT ALL WOMEN HAVE TO BE STONE COLD BADASSES TO BE STRONG!!! Geez…

i think one of my fave things about Kudo falling flat on his face in love with Miyo is that you could argue that he just wants Miyo cause she's quiet and obedient and would be so easy to control. but when you consider that all the people close to Kudo (Yurie, Godo, his sister Hazuki, even that clotheshop keeper) are not actually scared of him, and sass him on a regular basis, you realize that he has no desire to control others.

basically what I'm saying is it's just inevitable that one day Miyo will sass Kudo and he will be even more of a useless cringefail besotted husband about it
